You aren't so likely to bother me as you might think! Oh, I wake easily enough, that's true. But I have learned to sleep when I can. Short of you and your friend and protege taking the time to rendezvous on my sleeping form, I should manage quite well.

Among other things. At the very least we can hope that things are resolved soon on all ends, not just with the situation I mentioned earlier, but also with us being placed on this forced vacation away from Seoul.

Normally I wouldn't look a proverbial gift horse in the mouth, but with everything else, I'm sure you understand. I unfortunately may not have been the best roommate as a result of it, either.

What a subjective concept, "best roommate". You have done just fine. I have slept in barracks with a dozen snoring men who seemed as though they were trying to collectively raise the dead with the racket they caused. I have been woken up in the dead of night by screams of terrified girls and men with knives, so I really cannot complain here, you understand. I have been quite safe and well rested.

It's only fair for me to ask. But I'm glad that it hasn't been a problem.

I don't hold it against you. It's more than fair, really. But I can't complain at all, so I instead listen well to others.

I am glad for it. There are times when speaking things aloud shows a clearer path, yes?

Exactly my reasoning. Talking it out sometimes can uncover ideas or paths that weren't thought of originally.

I may have. It's not an idea or path that I may enjoy, but it might be for the betterment of everyone else, at the very least.

[ There are a few ideas swirling around in his head, but there seems to be only a few outcomes to those ideas. ]

At least, in the sense that it will likely destroy what little relationship with my son that I even have in the first place. Even if it will save his life.

From the point of view of an unfavored son, I would certainly prefer to be alive to try again.

I would as well, from the point of view of a father who wants to do right by my son.
